Understand the fundamentals of livestock farming in the Atlantic forest.
Apply basic practices related to animal feeding and welfare.
Estimate costs and revenues of a small livestock farm.
Assess the viability of a livestock production unit.
Propose simple improvements to reduce impacts and increase efficiency.
Evaluation
Complete the final assessment questionnaire within the deadline with a 100% success rate (multiple attempts will be allowed).
Submission of a practical exercise consisting of the development and simulation of a livestock model on one or more plots.
Tutoring
The methodology used will be fully online and asynchronous, aimed at professionals. This approach has proven highly effective in training adult learners and specialized profiles. The Level 1 training offered in this course is intended for managers, technicians, industry professionals, and trainers. The course is entirely virtual, using a simulation and management program integrated into a virtual classroom specifically developed for this training on the Moodle platform, available at: https://cursos.proepla.com. All instruction will be delivered in Spanish. Students will be able to ask questions through the forums. Tutorial sessions will be held regularly via Microsoft Teams and must be requested by email, with the date and time to be agreed upon between the instructor and the student.
