The Faculty of Teacher Training is the most traditional centre on the Lugo Campus. Founded in 1842 as "Escola Normal de Mestres", it has consolidated its academic prestige in its emblematic location on Avenida de Ramón Ferreiro since 1954. Currently, the Faculty reaffirms its commitment to higher education by offering degrees in Early Childhood and Primary Education, as well as specialised master's degrees in Secondary Education and Nature-based Educational Activities Management. Our management is governed by a quality policy aimed at continuous improvement and the training of professionals prepared for the pedagogical challenges of the 21st century.
